Fans go wild

BULLDOGS boss Todd Greenberg said that he was disappointed that a minority of "idiotic Bulldogs' fans" had tainted the name of the club after Friday night's NRL match at Sydney Olympic Park.
Reports that Bulldogs fans had vandalised cars and harassed Parramatta supporters outside ANZ Stadium left "a stain" on the club, Mr Greenberg said.
"I'm really disappointed that an idiotic minority in a crowd of 35,000 people can overshadow an entertaining game of football," he said.
At the conclusion of the match about 9.30pm, a 33-year-old Panania woman and 24-year-old Carlingford man discovered their cars - which they had decorated in Parramatta's traditional blue and gold colours - badly damaged.
Both vehicles had been covered in blue and white paint, while bricks had also been thrown through windows. Also several Parramatta fans reported being harassed by Bulldogs supporters after leaving the game.
Mr Greenberg said he considered those responsible as not true Bulldogs or football fans.
"Our club has a strict code of conduct that applies to our players, staff and members, and we expect those same rules to go for our supporters as well," he said.
Mr Greenberg said the club would come down hard on irresponsible fans, banning them from games, and cancelling memberships.
Anyone who witnessed the vandalism or has information regarding the culprits responsible, should telephone Crime Stoppers in 1800 333 000.
Police have urged people to use the more secure parking areas at Sydney Olympic Park which are patrolled by security staff and covered by closed-circuit television.
